Web Design for Bands:
My Darling Clementine
My Darling Clementine is the UK’s most talked about country act, comprised of husband and wife team Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish. Both King and Dalgleish have had successful independent careers, but after ten years of marriage, they turned their attention to a joint project, which became My Darling Clementine.
The duo’s debut album How Do You Plead? was met with great critical acclaim, with Maverick magazine describing it as “without doubt the best British country album of the year, and one that would challenge anything from across the Atlantic too” and The Manchester News calling the duo “a Johnny and June for our times.”
Michael contacted me after seeing the website I designed for Martin Stephenson. He was looking for a new website to coincide with My Darling Clementine’s new album and tour. The design was inspired by, and features artwork by Atlanta-based designer Jared Swafford, who designed the duo’s album artwork. The new website features an integrated store and is now a great resource for press, venues and fans alike!
I’m really pleased with how the website turned out, and you can read Michael’s comments below! If you like what you see and hear, why not get in touch to discuss a project of your own?
