The Circus Life
Music & Comedy Podcast
Web Design by Electric Kiwi

The Circus Life is a music and comedy podcast by singer/songwriter Justin Trawick and award winning producer Sean Russell. Based in the DC area, the podcast features interviews, stories, and live performances by local, regional, and national acts.

I was introduced to Justin and Sean by Alexis Kimbrough at Growth Group whose website I designed a few months earlier. The Circus Life website needed functionality for the hosts to add new podcasts each week with options for visitors to download and stream the show, download MP3s of live performances and to browse podcasts by guests. WordPress was the perfect solution for this. I designed a custom theme and set up the admin area in a way which makes it easy for Justin and Sean to update the website whenever they like.

The Circus Life is one of my favourite podcasts – I’ve discovered many of my recent favourite artists through their show. I highly recommend listening and subscribing on iTunes!

what they say

Ross Barber from Electric Kiwi is a wizard. My friend Sean Russell and I started a music and comedy podcast back in August of 2013 which quickly picked up a core following in the Washington DC Area and beyond.  We needed a website and one of our advertisers, Growth Group, suggested we use Ross. We needed a bunch of very specific unique features: download and stream links, iTunes and social networking links, the ability to fly in the podcast server info (Libsyn), and unique show search tools.  Not only was Ross able to do all of this beautifully but he was also able to create an admin page for us to easily let us do it all ourselves in the future. Ross worked extremely hard to make us happy, always had a positive attitude, and really made us feel like we were a priority.  I would recommend Ross to anyone!
